Pain Management Opportunity – CHRISTUS Health

Location: Alamogordo, NM

Position Overview

We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Pain Management Provider to join a growing team in Southern New Mexico. This is a full-time, permanent position designed to expand access to Interventional Pain Management procedures and reduce opioid prescription. The incoming physician will have access to a brand-new GE ultrasound, supporting high-quality, image-guided procedures.

Practice Highlights

• Clinic Hours: Clinic hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
• Clinic Volume: Approximately 20-25 patients per day, with procedure frequency varying based on need.
• Procedure Volume: Varies;Four procedural day weekly, block scheduling at onsite surgery center. OR available for higher risk patients
• Procedures Performed-Includes but is not limited to:
  • Radiofrequency ablations
  • TOCS (Thoracic Outlet Compression Syndrome)
  • Epidurals
  • Medial branch blocks etc.
• EMR Systems: Athena (clinic), Cerner (hospital);transitioning to Epic in March 2026
  

Ideal Candidate

• MD or DO
• Background in Anesthesia, will consider Neurology
• Fellowship-trained in Pain Management
• Spinal cord stimulator experience is ideal but not required
• Comfortable with a fast-paced clinic and procedural schedule
