Job Description
Embark on a life-saving travel assignment as an ER Registered Nurse in sunny San Luis Obispo, California. This weeks-long opportunity puts you at the forefront of urgent care where every decision matters and every patient matters more. Beginning on 02/09/2026, you’ll bring your acute clinical expertise, calm under pressure, and unwavering compassion to a fast-paced emergency department that thrives on teamwork, efficiency, and patient-centered care. You’ll earn a weekly pay of $1,874-$1,925, with no guaranteed hours, giving you the freedom to balance professional intensity with personal exploration on the beautiful Central Coast. This is more than a job; it’s a chance to refine your practice, expand your skill set, and impact lives when time is of the essence.
San Luis Obispo County blends breathtaking coastline, rolling hills, and a friendly, laid-back atmosphere that makes it a standout place to work and live. Imagine mornings on sun-kissed beaches, afternoons navigating scenic hikes along coastal bluffs, and evenings enjoying world-class dining, farmers markets, and vibrant arts scenes. Beyond the allure of the coast, you’ll be part of a mission-driven team that supports your growth and wellbeing while you explore California’s diverse landscapes and communities. And for those who crave variety, our travel programs provide opportunities to work in other locations across the United States, offering exposure to a range of ED environments—from bustling urban centers to quieter suburban and rural settings—each with its own patient population, protocols, and opportunities to sharpen your leadership in emergency care. You’ll appreciate the balance of a serene home base with the chance to experience new facilities, patient demographics, and clinical challenges as part of your ongoing professional journey.
In this ER RN role, you’ll own a dynamic scope of responsibilities designed to keep patients safe and outcomes optimal. You’ll perform rapid assessment and triage to identify emergent priorities, initiate treatment plans, and monitor patients vigilantly as conditions evolve. Your clinical toolkit will include airway management, IV therapy, medication administration, rapid diagnostic testing, EKG interpretation, and the ability to respond swiftly to code activations. You’ll collaborate closely with physicians, PAs, and bedside teams to coordinate care, communicate clearly with patients and families, and document meticulously to meet regulatory and facility standards. You’ll have the chance to mentor newer staff, participate in unit-based quality improvement activities, and pursue specialty certifications that align with your interests and the department’s objectives. The role is designed to foster professional growth—whether you’re seeking to deepen expertise in trauma, peds, toxicology, or general acute care—through structured learning, on-the-job training, and access to continuing education resources. And because travel nursing values flexibility, you’ll have the opportunity to extend or renew contracts to build extended continuity with a facility that respects and challenges you.
Our benefits package is designed to recognize your expertise and your need for stability and support on the road. In addition to competitive weekly pay, you’ll have access to a welcome bonus and housing assistance to simplify your transition to a new city. We offer contract extensions and opportunities to diversify your ER experiences without sacrificing the consistency you value. The program includes comprehensive 24/7 support while you’re traveling with the company, ensuring you’re never navigating complex clinical or logistical challenges alone. You’ll receive guidance on local policies, orientation to each facility, and a dedicated clinical liaison who understands the rhythm of the ER and your role within it. We’re committed to your professional development, with access to certifications, specialty tracks, and leadership pathways that empower you to move forward in your career.
Company values sit at the heart of what we do. We’re dedicated to empowering our nursing staff with dedicated mentorship, transparent career pathways, and a culture built on respect, teamwork, and resilience. Your contributions shape patient outcomes and strengthen the communities we serve, and we celebrate every milestone you achieve—whether that’s mastering a new protocol, leading a quality initiative, or advancing into a specialty role. We embrace diversity, promote wellbeing, and invest in a supportive environment where your voice is heard, your expertise is respected, and your professional goals are taken seriously.
If you’re ready to answer the call, this is your invitation to join a company that values your clinical judgment, compassion, and ambition. Apply now to begin a journey that blends high-impact emergency care with the rich experiences of California’s Central Coast and the broader opportunities available across the country. Start making a lasting difference in people’s lives, while advancing your own practice and enjoying a rewarding travel nursing experience with a team that has your back every step of the way. Your next chapter in ER nursing awaits—embrace the challenge, celebrate the victories, and shape the future of emergency care with us.
