Job Description

Sparks Group is seeking a Warehouse Manager, the manager is responsible for organizing, coordinating, and scheduling the day-to-day operations of the branch which includes but not limited to overseeing the receipt, dispatching, and storage of goods. They will also be responsible for managing warehouse staff, drivers, vehicles, other equipment, and administrative functions. The Warehouse Manager position requires an organized individual to ensure the warehouse operates at peak efficiency, with customer satisfaction as the primary goal, by supervising, organizing, and training warehouse employees and drivers as well as establishing, monitoring, and managing operational goals. The Warehouse Manager will oversee receiving, picking, packing, and staging of orders, the loading, and unloading of trucks, maintenance of vehicles, sanitation, and administrative functions. You will ensure the maintenance of company assets.

Responsibilities :

  • Oversee receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations.
  • Train and evaluate warehouse staff and drivers.
  • Implement and oversee operational policies and procedures.
  • Ensure effective and safe use of warehouse equipment and the safety of staff.
  • Motivate and discipline the staff.
  • Encourage and monitor safe warehouse practices, identify potential hazards, and notify your direct supervisor of those hazards.
  • Ensure drivers are performing their duties in accordance with the company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain documentation and keep accurate records of warehouse activities.
  • Must be able to maintain a professional and pleasant attitude with customers, co-workers, and vendors.
  • Maintain awareness and knowledge of the condition and location of fleet vehicles.
  • Use dispatch software to establish daily truck routes.
  • Coordinate employee time off and approve timecards.
  • Perform related tasks as required.

Qualifications/Background Profile :

  • 5+ years of warehouse management experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Excellent understanding of warehouse management procedures.
  • Available to work extended hours as needed.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to operate forklifts effectively.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Outstanding leadership, organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent Leadership Skills, including the ability to manage conflict.
  • Effective communication skills, including writing, speaking, and active listening.
