Job Title: Quality Inspector – Aerospace
Department: Aerospace Seating
Job Type: Full-Time 90-day contract-to-hire
Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to support our aerospace seating production and quality assurance team. This role is responsible for evaluating hardware documentation, inspecting products, measuring process performance, and preparing formal reports under professional direction.
Key Responsibilities:
Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and inspection manuals to determine inspection methods
Inspect materials, products, and in-process work for conformance to engineering drawings and specifications
Record and report inspection results, marking items for acceptance or rejection
Discard or reject products, materials, and equipment that do not meet specifications
Confer with vendors and internal teams to review inspection results and recommend corrective actions
Test and measure finished products, components, or assemblies to verify functionality and specification adherence
Monitor meters and dials to ensure proper equipment operation and calibration
Clearly communicate inspection results to internal teams
Maintain organized and accurate inspection records
Support problem-solving activities and continuous improvement efforts
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required
Minimum of 2 years of mechanical inspection experience, including visual and dimensional inspection
Proficient in Microsoft Excel (advanced level), Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Experience with Discus First Article Software preferred
Experience using portable CMM tools such as FARO or Metris preferred
Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a positive, team-oriented attitude
